How did you get introduced to the Porsche brand of cars?
Through my husband - he’s always been passionate about Porsche, but once he got his first one, I quickly fell in love with it. He didn’t get those keys back!
Why did you purchase your current Porsche?
I bought my latest Porsche, the 991 GT3 specifically for the track. I was already addicted to the 911 platform but wanted to experience the sound and the thrill of a naturally aspirated engine and a track-focused model.
How do you enjoy your Porsche?
Track, autocross, driving in the twisty roads in the Santa Cruz mountains near my home.
Why do you think there are so few women driving Porsche cars, especially the 911 and 718 sports car models?
The barrier for entry is high and many women don’t expect the car community to be a welcoming environment.
What do you think Porsche or the community can do to invite women to join in on the Porsche fun?
Highlighting more female drivers, more women-focused events and more representation of women in the track, autocross and racing communities as well as in local car clubs leadership.
Anything else you’d like to mention about your Porsche story?
I encourage women to have an open mind - even if you weren’t a “car girl” growing up, it’s worth giving car hobby a shot. And it’s really important to drive by yourself and with other women to gain more confidence and develop as a driver.
