Tell me about yourself:
I have always had an interest in cars. As a young girl, I would pay close attention to the cars I would see on the streets to take in every detail of each make, model and feature. This curiosity shifted to anticipation as I dreamed of the day I could get behind the wheel. When I got my license and my first car, I immediately turned to car modding, which quickly led me to a community of car enthusiasts who shared my interest. I was able to connect with many fascinating people in the community, including my car-enthusiast husband, whom I also met at a car meet. We now live in the Bay Area with our two daughters and a garage full of fun cars.
Why did you purchase your current Porsche?
I purchased my GT3 as an upgrade to the Carrera S to get the improved performance that GT car owners were raving always about. In addition to the GT3, I also needed a family car to drive my kids around, run errands, and goon longer family drives. My Macan S is the perfect car for all of these uses!
Why are there so few women driving Porsche, especially the 911 and 718 sports car models?
I think that the biggest reason is because women are not introduced to the entirety of the Porsche owners experience. It is so much more than just the cars. Being a Porsche owner represents a lifestyle and introduces you to a community of like-minded individuals who are driven, approachable, and fun-loving.
What do you think Porsche or the community can do to invite women to join in on the Porsche fun?
I want to see more women experience both the thrill of driving a Porsche, as well as the community that comes with the ownership experience. I started the Her Porsche project to introduce more women to the Porsche brand, experience, and community.
